Lynn Shannon Labotka, 87, of Riverside, died April 29, 2022.
She spent her life spreading kindness and comfort wherever she happened to be — at work, with her family or spending time with her many friends.
Lynn loved the beauty of nature and the outdoors. Her particular connection to the Upper Peninsula Northwoods made an impact on friends and family alike. Lynn’s ever-present sense of humor always managed to make great family gatherings, especially during difficult times.
Her collection of folk music, recorded over many decades, is a lasting legacy that continues to bring joy to her sons and family.
She was the wife of the late Charles Shannon and the late Charles Labotka; the mother of Dave (Kathy), Steve (Jane), and Craig (Beth); the grandmother of 10 and great grandmother of eight.
Memorial services are Saturday, July 23 at 11 a.m. at Riverside Presbyterian Church, 116 Barrypoint Road, Riverside. Donations to the Sierra Club are greatly appreciated. Memorial info call: 708-447-1520.
