Donald P. Wilferd, 82, of Brookfield, died Aug. 1, 2022.
Mr. Wilferd was a heavy equipment operator for International Union of Operating Engineers Local 150 and an avid golfer who loved his card nights with friends. Most proudly he was the No. 1 fan to all his grandkids at every one of their sporting events.
Mr. Wilferd was the husband of Karen Wilferd (nee Lowe); the father of Mike (the late Cheryl) Wilferd, Kelly (Ruben Jr.) Quintana and the late Diane (the late Lee) Smith; papa of Michael (Marie) Quintana, Megan (Joe Elpayaa) Quintana, Matthew (fiancée Lauren Szumski) Quintana and Michelle Wilferd; step papa of Sherina, Diana and Maria; and great papa of Noah and Carly.
A funeral Mass was celebrated Aug. 5 at Louise de Marillac Church, La Grange Park, followed by interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside.
