Emily Polacek, 104, died April 27, 2023 at her home in Brookfield of 71 years.
Ms. Polacek was retired from a career as a typesetter. She was also a lifelong member of Sokol Spirit in Brookfield and volunteered for more than 35 years at Brookfield Zoo.
She was the wife of the late William; the mother of Elaine Collina (Larry Crump); the sister of the late Mary Nemleha, the late Charles Hejny and late Bess Santucci; and an aunt and cousin of many.
Services have been held. Private inurnment at Woodlawn Cemetery. Donations to Brookfield Zoo or the World Wildlife Foundation are appreciated.
