Eleanor Byrne (nee Engle), 88, of Brookfield and formerly of Omaha, Nebraska, died June 29, 2023. Ms. Byrne worked as a mental health therapist.
She was the wife of the late Joseph C. Byrne; the mother of Carey (Ernest Newmann) Byrne and the late Eric Byrne; the grandmother of Andrew Newmann and Sarah Newmann; the sister of the late James (Sharon) Thurman Engle; the aunt of Debra Jo Engle, Kerrin (David) Holsteen and Kathryn Engle; and a cousin of many.
A visitation will be held Sunday, July 9 from 1 to 5 p.m. at Hitzeman Funeral Home, Ltd., 9445 31st St., Brookfield. Services in Omaha are pending. Interment is pending at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery in Omaha.
