Robert “Bob” Wayne Porak was born Dec. 30, 1947 and died on July 17, 2023.
Mr. Porak graduated from Western Illinois University in 1970 with a degree in philosophy and later attended Eden Theological Seminary. He remained interested in philosophy his entire life and dedicated much of his time to writing journal entries, poetry and fiction.
Bob had a deep appreciation for classical music, the fine arts and the beauty of nature. In his early years, he enjoyed playing baseball, fishing and playing the accordion.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Vivian Kandlik and Adolf Porak, and is survived by his sister Marlene (Randy), brother Wesley (Pat) and nephews Brett, Brandon, Eric, Christopher and Dustin.
Services are private.
