Annabelle Downs (nee Battaglia), 95 of North Riverside, died on Nov. 10, 2023 in Batavia. Born on Nov. 22, 1927 in Chicago, she was an accountant at a brokerage firm.
Annabelle was the wife of the late Casimir S. Downs; the mother of John Steven (Debora) Downs and Richard Casimir (Barbara) Downs; the grandmother of Kayce Gene, Jessica Patricia (Louis) Halper, Richard Casimir, Michael Robert, and Joseph John; the great-grandmother of Buchanan Michael; sister of the late Marie Condi, the late Pauline Warkenthein, the late Concetta Passarelli, the late Josephine Curbumblo, and the late Frank Battaglia Jr.; and the aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, Nov. 17, from 3 to 8 p.m. at Kuratko-Nosek Funeral Home, 2447 S. Desplaines Ave., North Riverside. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 18, at St. Mary Church in Riverside. Services will conclude following Mass.
