Michael O’Malley, 86, of Bedford Park, formerly of Brookfield, died on Nov. 10, 2023. He worked as a telecommunications technician.
Michael was the husband of Ruthann Balciunas (nee Rubel) and the late Etta A. O’Malley (nee Nilson); the step-father of Jean (the late Joseph) Kralka, Eric Balciunas, Anita (Scotty) Taloff, and the late Robert F. Enrietto Jr.; grandfather of many; brother of Patricia (the late Nick) Veit, Mary Claypool, John O’Malley, the late Ed O’Malley and the late Carole (the late James) Ritchey; and the uncle and great uncle of many.
Visitation was held on Nov. 14, with Mass at St. Barbara Church, 4000 Prairie Ave., Brookfield, IL 60513, followed by interment at St. Mary Cemetery in Evergreen Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to St. Barbara’s Food Pantry, 9300 W. 47th St., Brookfield, IL 60513.
