Riverside, IL- On Tuesday Oct. 15, 2013, the District 96 Board of Education will hold rededication ceremonies to celebrate the successful completion of Summer 2013 Capital Improvement Projects:
• 4:00 p.m. Blythe Park Elementary School
735 Leesley Road, Riverside
(Facility Tours until 5:30 p.m.)
• 5:00 p.m. Hollywood Elementary School
3423 Hollywood Avenue, Brookfield
(Facility Tours until 6:30 p.m.)
Self-guided and guided tours will be provided at each school. Board members, Dr. Sharma-Lewis, school principals and project architects will be available to answer questions regarding the renovation work.
“New mechanical systems (including heating and air conditioning), electrical service and distribution upgrades, improved lighting and new interior finishes installed during construction provide an improved teaching and learning environment for students and staff. Both projects were completed on time and under budget. This positive outcome is due in large part to effective collaboration between the design team and the administration, staff, community stakeholders and the School Board. We look forward to providing an opportunity for community members to tour the schools,” says Dr. Sharma-Lewis.
