Members of North Riverside Firefighters Union Local 2714, including Austin Nicholl (far left), Chris Kribales (second from left) and Richard Gray (far right) recently participated in the American Lung Association's "Fight For Air Stair Climb" at the Oakbrook Tower.

Local 2714 took home first place team honors, climbing 30 flights in full firefighting gear and raising more than $15,000 to help those who struggle to breathe. Also pictured is Tanner Atchison, a former North Riverside paramedic who is now a firefighter in Freeport and was part of Local 2714's climb team.
