The Brookfield Chamber of Commerce will cut the ribbons on two newer businesses in the village in the coming days and weeks.

On Saturday, April 14 at noon, chamber and village officials will be on hand to officially welcome State Farm agent Marco Granja, who has taken over the State Farm office at 9101 Ogden Ave.

Meanwhile, the chamber will officially welcome L'Unica Salon, 9108 31st St., during a ribbon-cutting ceremony on May 12 at 3 p.m.

According to owner Maria Gibson, a former Brookfielder who now lives in LaGrange Park, L'Unica provides a full range of hair services for the entire family. The salon opened last November in the former Friendly Barbershop space.
