Members of Girl Scout Troop 695, third-graders from Brook Park School in LaGrange Park, have been working during the past year to raise money for the Brookfield Historical Society in honor of the village's 125th anniversary in order to earn their Bronze Award. On June 4, the troop presented a check for $1,000 to historical society President Kit Ketchmark at the Grossdale Station museum in Brookfield. The money will be used to purchase one or more new display cases.
