The United States Postal Service has suspended deliveries due to the extreme cold weather on January 30, 2019. Delivery of Riverside Brookfield Landmark will be delayed until normal postal service resumes.
Peter Sagal, host of NPR's "Wait, Wait … Don't Tell Me!", is next up in the Wednesday Journal Conversations series. Sagal, an Oak Parker for many years, has hosted "Wait, Wait" for almost 20 years. Broadcast nationally and co-produced by Chicago's WBEZ, the show is heard by nearly three million listeners on the radio and another million each month on a podcast version.
As Brookfield residents prepare to go to the polls on Nov. 8 – or during the early voting period that begins on Oct. 24 – officials at Brookfield Public Library, 3609 Grand Blvd., will be hosting three open house forums to make provide information about a new facility they've planned to build and the referendum to fund a $10.3 million bond issue that's on the ballot.
