John L. Trappina, 98, of North Riverside, died Dec. 24, 2012 at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood.
Mr. Trappina was born in Chicago on Nov. 28, 1914. He worked as an electrician for the Kelburn Engineering Company prior to retirement.
He was the husband for 75 years of Violet Trappina (nee Zalusky); the father of John J. (the late Mima) Trappina and Sharon (Dennis) Marchuk; and the brother of Mafalda Volk.
A funeral Mass was celebrated Dec. 29 at Mater Christi Church in North Riverside, followed by interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
