Dorothy B. Tvrdik, 95, of North Riverside, died on Dec. 23, 2017.
Born on Sept. 18, 1922, Ms. Tvrdik was a 33-year member of the North Riverside Golden Agers, eight-year volunteer at LaGrange Hospital and influenced many as a Girl Scout leader.
Ms. Tvrdik was the wife of the late Charles A. Tvrdik; the mother of Barbara (David) Hodgson; the grandmother of Brian Hodgson, Douglas (Danielle Michard) Hodgson and Don (Mandi) Hodgson; the great-grandmother of Cailin, Laurel, Harlow Hodgson and Ashlyn Cobbs; and the sister of the late Blanche (the late Charles) Bluma.
Services have been held. Interment was at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
