Marcella R. Jentzsch, 95, church secretary

Marcella R. Jentzsch (nee Peirick), 95, of Brookfield and formerly of Cicero, died Jan. 5, 2013 at The Grove of LaGrange Park.

She was born on June 23, 1917 in Lebanon, Wis., to William and Mary Peirick, one of 12 children in the family. She later married Charles D. "Bud" Jentzsch, who preceded his wife in death. She worked as the secretary for Our Lady of the Mount Church in Cicero and was a longtime member of the St. Louise de Marillac Senior Friendship Club.

Ms. Jentzsch is survived by her son, Kenneth Jentzsch; her sisters, Agnes Schuett, Mary (Jim) Henry and Joanne (Jerold) Blank; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Leonard Peirick, Edward Peirick, Norbert Peirick, Clarence Peirick, Raymond Peirick, William Peirick, Helen Peirick and Lillian Peck.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, Jan. 9 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Louise de Marillac Church in LaGrange Park, followed by interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.

Memorial donations to a favorite charity are appreciated.
