The Landmark View

The District 96 Board of Education deserves some credit for moving last week to partner with LaGrange-Brookfield School District 102 and offer students and staff the option of weekly COVID-19 testing.

The saliva test is not diagnostic but is there to flag people who are carrying a high virus load, deny them entry to school buildings and direct them to get diagnostically tested to verify.

Yes, it's not cheap but the goal here is student and staff safety, and given an option to do so, why would you not want that extra layer of protection?
