Myron J. "Mike" Wimmer Jr., 85, of Brookfield, died Oct. 24, 2020 at his home.

Mr. Wimmer served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was the owner of M.J. Wimmer and Associates Architectural Firm. He was also a member of Riverside Township Lions Club, Riverside Historical Commission and Brookfield Zoning Board of Appeals.

He was the husband of Louise (nee Peters); the father of April (Craig) Korte, Laura (Rick) Letmanski, Monica Henson (Leo Sanchez), Celeste (Kevin) Loeffler, Myron J. III (Virginia) and Jonathan (Meredith) Wimmer; the grandpa of 13 and great grandpa of 3; the brother of the late Leon (late Arlene) Wimmer; and an uncle to many.  

Visitation is Wednesday, Oct. 28 from 4 to 8 p.m. and Thursday, Oct. 29 from 8:30 a.m. until time of services at 9:15 a.m. at Ivins/Moravecek Funeral Home, 80 E. Burlington St., Riverside. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Barbara Church, 4008 Prairie Ave. in Brookfield on Oct. 29 at 10 a.m.

Military honors and inurnment on Friday, Oct. 30. Please arrive by noon by the Visitor Center at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 27034 S. Diagonal Road, Elwood.
