Robert G. Thomas, 65, of Brookfield and formerly of Mason City, Iowa, died Oct. 17, 2020 in Maywood.

He was born Sept. 16, 1955 in Mason City and was a U.S. Navy veteran. Mr. Thomas worked as a truck driver for a trucking company and enjoyed cooking, grilling, gardening and working on his house.

Mr. Thomas was the husband of Kim Thomas (nee Weber); the son Beverly (nee Niver) and the late James Thomas; the father of Nathan (Valerie) Westfall, RaeAnn (Glen) Maragay, Seth and Zachary; the grandfather of Natalie Westfall, Rebecca Westfall, Margeaux Maragay, Sebastian Maragay, Loralei Westfall and Orion Maragay; and a fond brother and uncle of many. 

Visitation is Wednesday, Oct. 28 from 3 to 8 p.m. at Kuratko-Nosek Funeral Home 2447 Desplaines Ave., North Riverside. Funeral service is at 3 p.m. with a military service at 7 p.m. Cremation is private. Social distancing and a mask are required to attend the visitation.
