Hubert Jay, 88, of Brookfield, died on Nov. 10, 2019. Born April 24, 1931, Mr. Jay served in the U.S. Army and worked as a traffic coordinator in the retail sales business before retiring.
He was the husband of the late Joan M. Jay (nee Rabstein); the father of Jacqueline Betancourt, Hubert (Gail) Jay III, Scott (Marianne) Jay and Barbara (Robert) Chakmakjian; the grandfather of Jason Jay, Eric Jay, Matthew (Audrey) Jay, Jeanine Betancourt, Michael (Wanda) Jay, David (fiancé Tiffany Wagner) Chakmakjian, Tiffany (Ryan) Sitter and Christopher Chakmakjian; the great-grandfather of 11; and the brother of Keith (Janis) Jay and the late Patricia Buster.
Visitation is on Thursday, Nov. 14 from 3 p.m. to the time of service at 8 p.m. at Hitzeman Funeral Home, 9445 31st St., Brookfield. Private interment is at Chapel Hill Gardens South in Oak Lawn.
