William R. Newcomb, 71, of Lyons and formerly of Berwyn, died Nov. 14, 2020 at his home.

Mr. Newcomb was born March 18, 1949 in Burnsville, Mississippi, and he worked as a supervisor for a meat company.

He was the husband of Cristina (nee Garcia) and the late Della (nee Cherone); the father of Roberto (Louisa) Rodriguez, Cristina (Alex) Hernandez, Mirna (Jose) Sanchez, Juventino (Vicky) Rodriguez, Maria (Senon) Medina, Febronio (Elena) Rodriguez, Eric (Ester) Rodriguez, Kimberlee (Brian Hajduch) Newcomb, Kristen Newcomb and the late Scott Newcomb; the grandfather of 29; the great-grandfather of 14; the brother of Olene (Lodge) Stevens, Ruby (Lester) Strickland, Mary (Hershel) Strickland, Winston (Margaret) Newcomb Jr., Orlando Newcomb, Christene (James) Wimon, Willie (Genny) Newcomb and Horace (Wanda) Newcomb; and an uncle to many nieces and nephews. 

Services have been held. Interment was at Resurrection Cemetery, Justice.

Johnson-Nosek Funeral Home, Brookfield, handled arrangements.
