Grace C. Vaculik, 92, of Brookfield, died on Dec. 8, 2013 at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital. She was a Housekeeping Technician at MacNeal Hospital in Berwyn and a member of the St. Barbara Seniors Club, Brookfield Seniors Club, the Seniors Club of LaGrange, and TOPPS Club. She enjoyed composing stories, babysitting for many families in Chicago and the suburbs, and activities with her nieces and nephews.
Grace is survived by her sister, Anna Marie DeStefano, and her many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rudolph Vaculik; her brothers, August and Thomas DeVeno; and her sister, Felicia Galasso.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 11, from 2 till 9 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home, 3847 Prairie Ave. in Brookfield. On Thursday, Dec. 12 at 10 a.m., a funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Barbara Church, 4008 Prairie Ave. in Brookfield, followed by interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
