Johannes Kiwiet, 82, a longtime resident of Riverside, died Dec. 11, 2012.
Mr. Kiwiet was an elder and longtime member of the Riverside Presbyterian Church, a past president of the Riverside Township Lions Club and a former Riverside village trustee. He was a retired electrical engineer at Inland Steel/Van Leer Container Company.
He was the husband of Thea Kiwiet; the father of Laetitia (Tim) Lubenow, Else (Jean-Jacques) De Jaegher, Mark (Janine) Kiwiet and Andrew Kiwiet; the grandfather of 10; great-grandfather of one; and the brother of Wim Kiwiet and the late Jan Kiwiet.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Riverside Presbyterian Church, 116 Barrypoint Road in Riverside.
Memorial donations are appreciated to Riverside Presbyterian Church.
