Charles C. Giovannini, 99, of Brookfield and formerly of Chicago, died on Feb. 8, 2020.
Born on Jan. 24, 1921, Mr. Giovannini was a decorated U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Mr. Giovannini was the husband of the late Evelyn (nee Varisco); the father of Nancy (late John) Balzano, Dennis (Roni Seltzberg) Giovannini and Mary (Richard) Volpe; the grandfather of Theresa Tofel and Lorelei and Andrew Volpe; the great-grandfather of Austin, Trinity, Talon, Aspen and Thea; the brother of Victor (Jackie) Giovannini and the late Dino (late Doris) Giovannini; the former father-in-law of Toni Giovannini; and the uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received at the Conboy-Westchester Funeral Home, 10501 W. Cermak Rd., Westchester (two blocks west of Mannheim Rd.) on Wednesday, Feb. 12 from 3 to 9 p.m.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 13 at St. Barbara Church, 4008 Prairie Ave. in Brookfield, followed by entombment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
