Robert L. Butler, 59, owned plumbing business

Robert L. Butler, 59, of LaGrange, died March 7, 2014.

Mr. Butler earned his M.B.A. from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale and was the former owner of Allan E. Power Plumbing in LaGrange. He served on the board of directors at the Rich Port YMCA, was Boy Scout and Cub Scout leader and was a member of the Rotary Club of LaGrange.

He was the husband of Nancy Butler (nee Sorce); the father of Lyle and the late Phillip Butler; the son of Robert and the late Joan Butler of Brookfield; the brother of Bill (Sue) Butler, Diane Butler, Susan Butler and Ed Butler; and the uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Sunday, March 23 from 2 to 8 p.m. at Hallowell and James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St. in Countryside. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, March 24 at 10 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Church, 124 N. Spring Ave. in LaGrange.

The Pask family has known the Butler family for a lifetime. Whether from school, little league, common friends or professional plumbing needs they have been with us. I was so saddened to hear about Bob. I know he fought a good fight. He will be missed. With love and sympathies. Robyne
