Elizabeth A. “Liz” Whaley (nee Muzzy), 65, of Willowbrook and formerly of Elmhurst, has died after a brief battle with T-cell lymphoma.
Ms. Whaley was a longtime teacher at Visitation School, District 205 in Elmhurst and in Riverside District 96.
She was the wife of James; the mother of Kristen (Anthony) Whaley-Rigano, Katherine “Kat” and David (Brittany) Whaley; the grandmother of Gabriella Mia and Anthony James Rigano; the sister of David (Terri) Muzzy, Mary (Greg) Underwood, Alice Gately, Michael (Theresa) Muzzy, Carol (Jim) Gresens and the late Stephen (Patti) Muzzy and Peter (Percy Gibson) Muzzy; and an aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Services have been held. The family appreciates memorials to the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation, 5550 W. Executive Dr., Ste. 300, Tampa, Florida, 33609 or to the Cancer Research Institute, Web Donation, 29 Broadway, 4th Floor, New York, New York, 10006-3111.
