Gary L. Sasinka, 64, of Brookfield and formerly of Countryside, died April 12, 2013 at his home.
Mr. Sasinka lived in Countryside for 20 years and moved to Brookfield a year ago. He worked for 20 years in security and maintenance for the Rich Port YMCA in LaGrange, retiring in 2008. He also worked for the Brookfield Department of Public Works for 10 years. He enjoyed conversing on his CB radio and walking.
He was the husband of Barbara M. Sasinka (nee Odum); the father of Christopher (Nikki) Sasinka, Jason (Laura) Sasinka and Tina Sasinka; the grandfather of Felicia, Alexander, Richard and Sarah Sasinka; and brother of Robert Sasinka and the late Philip Sasinka.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 18 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home, 3847 Prairie Ave., Brookfield. Services are private.
