Robert Edward Slifka, 90, of Riverside, died April 14, 2013.
Mr. Slifka was born June 12, 1922 and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He worked as a printer prior to retirement.
He was the husband of Marlene J. Slifka (nee Godsel); the father of Suzanne (Gordon) Marsh; the brother of Rosemarie (Kenneth) Zolecke, the late Eleanore (Louis) Lewis and Dorothy Slifka; the brother-in-law of Eileen (the late Jerry) Buric; and the uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 19 from 3 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday, April 20 from 8:45 to 9:15 a.m. at Hitzeman Funeral Home, 9445 31st St. in Brookfield. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, April 20 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Church in Riverside, followed by interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
