Arthur Kovarik, 84, retired plant foreman

Arthur Kovarik, 84, of Brookfield, died April 19, 2014.

Mr. Kovarik was born Oct. 19, 1929. He worked as a plant foreman for a dairy prior

to retirement. He was an active member of St. Barbara Parish for many years.

He was the husband of the late Alice Kovarik (nee Kapitanek); the father of Kathleen (Wayne) Kraus, Janice (Keith) Adkins, 

Terrie (Larry) Wierciak, Linda (Charlie) Wind, Nancy (Dan) Brown; the grandfather Amy (Eric) Thye, Alison Kraus, Phil (Tammy) Wierciak, Adam (Anna) Wierciak, Amanda Wind, Denny Wind, Timothy (Abby) Brown, Erik Brown, Colleen Brown; the great-grandfather Gwendolyn Thompson, Liana Thye, Isabella Wierciak, Scarlett Wierciak, Alice Wierciak, Helen Wierciak; and the uncle of many nieces and nephews.

A funeral Mass was celebrated April 22 at St. Barbara Church in Brookfield, followed by interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.

Memorial donations are appreciated to the St. Barbara Food Pantry, 9300 47th St., Brookfield Ill. 60513 and School and Tutors on Wheels, 1515 W. Ogden Ave., LaGrange Park, Ill. 60526.
