Blanche M. Grimes (nee Bolek), 81, of Brookfield, died May 19, 2014.
Ms. Grimes was born July 7, 1932 in Cicero and attended Burnham Elementary School, Morton High School and Morton Junior College. She married Robert M. Grimes, who survives his wife, and was primarily a homemaker, though she spent many years as a receptionist at a dentist’s office.
She was also active in the Girl Scouts, in the Brook Park BPC, as a member of St. Louise Parish and as a co-director of Westchester Bridge Tournaments.
In addition to her husband, Ms. Grimes is survived by her daughters, Cheryl (Greg) Feltz, Kathleen (David) Dvorak, Connie Vizek and Barbara Dimonte; her grandchildren, Nicole Stevens, Laura Lawrence, Jeffery Dvorak, Scott Dvorak, Ashley Vizek, Ryan Vizek, Tyler Vizek, Jacob Vizek, Theresa Dimonte, Julia Dimonte and Victoria Dimonte; her great-grandchildren, Jack Stevens, Natalie Stevens and Landon Lawrence; her brother, Joseph (Gloria) Bolek; and her nephews, Vince and Barry.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 21 and from 9 to 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 22 at Hitzeman Funeral Home, 9445 31st St. in Brookfield. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 22 at St. Louise de Marillac Church in LaGrange Park. Interment is at Woodlawn Cemetery in Forest Park.
