Eleanor L. Carroll

Eleanor L. Carroll (nee Goetz), 97, of Brookfield, died May 18, 2020 in Lombard.

Born Jan. 21, 1923 in Chicago, Ms. Carroll was a retired accountant for an insurance company.

She enjoyed crafting, sewing, crosswords, gardening and baking. She was a parishioner of St. Barbara Church and was a former Girl Scout and Boy Scout leader.

Ms. Carroll was the wife of the late Edward R. Carroll; the mother of Edward “Bud” Carroll of Brookfield, Mike (Julie) Carroll of East Moline and Eileen (Larry) Wojcik of Darien; Grandma of Amy (James) Wescom, Daniel (Erin) Carroll, Michelle Wojcik, Jacqueline Wojcik; great grandma of Molly, Henry and Abby; and the sister of the late Frank (Lu) Goetz, Elizabeth (Leonard) Zeck and William Goetz. 

She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, friends and caregivers. 

Due to COVID-19 regulations, all funeral services will be private. Private entombment is at Queen of Heaven Mausoleum. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations would be appreciated to the Alzheimer’s Association (www.alz.org). A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
