Annette Buzek, 91, xylophone assembler

Annette Buzek (nee Blata), 91, a longtime resident of Brookfield, died June 6, 2013.

Ms. Buzek was born in Tasov, Czecholslovakia, to Thomas and Elizabeth Blata. She worked for many years assembling xylophones for the Musser Mitching Company in LaGrange.

She was the wife of the late Charles Buzek; the mother of Betty Hadar and Charles (Mary Ann Doherty) Buzek; the grandmother of Steven Hadar, Chris (Tara) Buzek and Kurt (Violet) Buzek; and the great-grandmother of Madeline, Charlie, Fletcher and Nikolas. She was the dear friend for over 80 years of Marie Lukas.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, June 12 at 10 a.m. at St. Louise de Marillac Church in LaGrange Park, followed by interment at Woodlawn Cemetery in Forest Park.
