Helen J. Hanzlik (nee Jubick), 94 a former resident of North Riverside, died June 5, 2019, at her home in Palmetto, Florida.
Ms. Hanzlik was born July 5, 1924 in Lansford, Pennsylvania, and worked as a keypunch operator for the Western Electric Co. prior to retirement. She enjoyed knitting, reading, crossword puzzles and finance.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Veronica (nee Bellas) Jubick; her siblings, Paul Jubick, Mary Jubick, Veronica McDonald and Elizabeth Shonosky; and her husband, the late Donald G. Hanzlik Sr.
Ms. Hanzlik was the mother of Donald (Judith) Jr. and the grandmother of Nicole Marie and Donna Lynn (Joshua) Higby.
Visitation was on Tuesday, June 11 from 3 to 7 p.m. at Kuratko-Nosek Funeral Home, 2447 Desplaines Ave. in North Riverside. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, June 12 at 10 a.m. at Mater Christi Church in North Riverside, followed by entombment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Christ the King Garden Mausoleum, in Hillside.
