Mary Jane Miller (nee Kleber), 96, of Scottsdale, Ariz., and a former longtime resident of Riverside, died June 4, 2013 in Arizona.

Ms. Miller was born Oct. 24, 1916 in Alpena, Mich., to Ernst and Anna (nee Kopecky) Kleber.

The couple resided there for several years before moving to Riverside, where they lived for 25 years. A job transfer in 1971 resulted in the couple moving to Scottsdale. Once Mr. Miller retired, they spent their winters in Arizona and their summers in Harrisville.

The couple raised five children and Ms. Miller served on many committees at St. Mary Church in Riverside. She also volunteered with the Campfire Girls and enjoyed traveling, playing board games and cards, doing crafts and clipping coupons.

Ms. Miller was preceded in death by her husband on March 18, 1999. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Anne Reinstein, and her brother, John Kleber.

She is survived by her children, Mary Jo (Mike) LePage, of Harrison Twp., Mich.; Judy (Bob) Finn, of Riverside; Carol Sweet Hale (Greg), of Wayland, Mich.; Laurie (Kevin) Flynn, of Scottsdale, Ariz.; and Joe (Cathy) Miller, of Paradise Valley, Ariz.

She is also survived by eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, a sister-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
