Walter E. Bleiler, 88, Pharmacist at Fisher's

Walter E. Bleiler, 88, of Hodgkins and formerly of Brookfield, died May 21, 2014 at LaGrange Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Bleiler served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Following the war, he embarked on a career as a pharmacist, and spent more than 30 years as a pharmacist at Fisher's Rexall Pharmacy in downtown Brookfield.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley A. Bleiler (nee Adkins); his sons, Carl (LuAnn) Bleiler, Tim Bleiler and Stan Bleiler; his daughter, Karen Bleiler; and his grandchildren, Nicholas Bleiler and Matthew Bleiler.

A funeral Mass was celebrated May 24 at St. Hugh Church in Lyons, followed by interment at Resurrection Cemetery in Justice.

Johnson Funeral Home, Brookfield, handled arrangements.
