Arnold G. Wackrow, 83, truck driver for Jewel

Arnold George Wackrow, 83, of North Riverside, died June 27, 2014 at Hines V.A. Hospital.

Mr. Wackrow was born in Chicago on Sept. 26, 1930. He served in the U.S. Armey during the Korean War and worked as a truck driver for the Jewel grocery store company.

He was the husband of the late Dorothy Wackrow (nee Walter); the father of David (Janet) Wackrow and Laura (Wayne) Kubicz; the grandfather of Andrew, Ryan, David, William and Christiana; the brother of Janet, Ida and the late Margaret, Florence, Ralph and Richard; and the dearest friend of Donna.

A funeral service was held June 30 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Brookfield, followed by interment at Chapel Hill Gardens West Cemetery in Oakbrook Terrace.

Memorial donations are appreciated to St. Paul Lutheran Church, 9035 Grant Ave., Brookfield, Illinois, 60513.
