Laverne V. Sidlo (nee Kruse), 90, a longtime resident of Riverside, died July 11, 2014 at her home, surrounded by her family.
Ms. Sidlo graduated from Morton East High School in 1944. She moved to Riverside in 1948 and spent the rest of her life in the village. She was an avid traveler, having visited all 50 states and 12 foreign countries. She also was the member of the Golden Agers of Riverside.
She is survived by her sons, James Sidlo of North Riverside, Robert Sidlo of Buffalo Grove and Roy Sidlo of Riverside, and her granddaughter Beverly Ann Sidlo-Tolliver of Ashland, Wisconsin.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Sidlo, and her parents, George and Emma Kruse.
Services and interment were held at Woodlawn Cemetery in Forest Park.
Woodlawn Funeral Home, Forest Park, handled arrangements.
