Lucille E. Goetz (nee Bauer), 88, a longtime resident of La Grange Park, died on June 30, 2019. Born on Jan. 2, 1931, she worked as a secretary in a bank. 

Ms. Goetz was a lifelong active member of St. John's Lutheran Church. She loved spending time with her family, and she was nurturing and caring, often remembering to pay attention to all the important details in their lives. 

She was the wife, of 65 years, of the late Eugene W. Goetz; the mother of Deborah (Patrick) Packard, Diane (John) Zylstra and Donna (James) Moriarty; the grandmother of Denise (Daniel) Kosan, Maggie Moriarty and Julia Zylstra; the great-grandmother of William and Claire Kosan; the sister of Clarence (Jane) Bauer and the late Evelyn (Robert) Bodenstab; and the aunt of many nieces and nephews. 

Visitation is on Friday, July 5 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Hitzeman Funeral Home, 9445 31st St., Brookfield. Lying in state on Saturday, July 6 at St. John's Lutheran Church, 47th Street and Brainard Ave., LaGrange, from 9:30 a.m. until time of service, 10:30 a.m., followed by interment at Concordia Cemetery.
