Thomas J. Feeney, 65, of Brookfield, died on July 17, 2019.
Born on Oct. 30, 1953, Mr. Feeney served in the U.S. Navy and was a devoted member of Boilermaker Local One. He was also the owner and operator of Feeney’s Bar in Brookfield.
Mr. Feeney was the father of Lindsay Schumacher, Sarah (fiancé, David Davila, Jr.) Feeney and Mary (fiancé, Josh Diedrich) Feeney; former spouse of Deborah (nee Dowrey); the grandfather of Madison, Jackson and Josh Jr.; the brother of Noreen (Michael) Plath, William Feeney, Mary (Paul Frank) Feeney, Anthony (Kimberly) Feeney and Daniel Feeney; the uncle of many nieces and nephews; and a friend to many.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, Aug. 3 from 2 to 6 p.m. at Marlins Bar and Grill, 7236 39th St. in Lyons, with a 2 p.m. reception to greet the family and a 3 p.m. tribute.
Memorial donations and sympathy cards may be sent to The Feeney Family, c/o Mary Feeney 4211 Park Ave. in Brookfield, 60513. Any donations to the family will be divided and sent to Tom’s favorite charities, including veterans’ groups, food pantries and Toys for Tots.
