Kevin Louis Reynolds, 51, of Brookfield, died July 2, 2014.

Mr. Reynolds was born Aug. 8, 1962. He worked as an information technology specialist for a manufacturing company and was also very involved in the Catholic Church. He was a permanent deacon for 11 years for the Archdiocese of Chicago.

For 15 years, Mr. Reynolds was involved with the Boy Scouts of America as a cubmaster, committee chairman and assistant scoutmaster. He also earned the Wood Badge and was inducted into the Order of the Arrow.

Mr. Reynolds was the husband of Jennifer Reynolds (nee Bates); the father of Collette (Matthew) Jurek, Katelyn Reynolds and Cory Reynolds; the son of Robert L. Reynolds and Barbara A. Reynolds (nee Biegel); the son-in-law of JoAnn L. Immekus (nee Mitchell) and the late Charles E. Bates and the late John Immekus; the brother of Cathy (Bruce) Oxley, Sam (Chad) Elmore, Keith (Chloe) Reynolds, Kraig (Michelle) Reynolds, Chris (Ron) Guralski and Cheryl (Isaac) Markus; and the uncle of many nieces and nephews.

He will lie in state on Friday, July 18 from 3 to 8 p.m. at St. Barbara Church, 4008 Prairie Ave. in Brookfield.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, July 19 at 10 a.m. at St. Louise de Marillac Church, corner of Raymond Avenue and 30th Street in LaGrange Park. Interment will be at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.

Memorials to the family are appreciated.
