Thomas G. Petrik, 75, tool and die maker

Thomas G. Petrik, 75, of Riverside, died July 1, 2014.

Mr. Petrik was born Dec. 30, 1938 and attended Riverside-Brookfield High School before furthering his education at the University of Illinois and Roosevelt University.

He worked as a tool and die maker and served as staff tooling engineer for the Pullman Trailmobile Company. He finished his career teaching engineering at Triton College, and in retirement restored his 1871 Victorian home in Riverside.

Mr. Petrik was husband of Lanis F. Petrik (nee Fuerst); the father of Janis (Sean) O'Malley and Tod Petrik; the grandfather of Jack O'Malley, Michael O'Malley and Mary Grace O'Malley; and the brother of Frank (Arline) Petrik.

Interment was at Windridge Memorial Park Cemetery in Cary.

Memorial donations are appreciated to Brookfield Zoo, 3300 Golf Road, Brookfield, Illinois, 60513.

Hitzeman Funeral Home, Brookfield, handled arrangements.
