Dorothy B. Zeman, 92, of Riverside, died on Aug. 9, 2013. She grew up in Ashby, Mass., and after graduating high school, attended nursing school. She served in World War II as a combat nurse where she met and married Otto M. Zeman II.
She lived most of her life on Herbert Road in Riverside where she raised her family. She had a love for gardening, entertaining and pursued her passion for helping others as a nurse. Friends and family say she leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and generosity that will stay in their hearts forever.
Dorothy Zeman was the mother of Otto M. (Sally) Zeman III, Roger F. Zeman, and Julie A. Holmbeck; the grandmother to Matt, Bill, Tony, Danny, Benjamin, Brittany, Kevin, Mitchell, Jennifer and Victoria; and the great-grandmother of Matt, Tyler, Ben, Aleigh Mae and Kai. She was preceded in death by her husband, Otto; her parents, Frederick and Pauline; her siblings, Fred, Paul, Anna, Walter, Lydia, Florence, Sarah, and Bertha; and her son-in-law, Stephen.
