Catherine M. "Kay" Davidson, 89, a longtime resident of Brookfield, died July 30, 2013 at LaGrange Memorial Hospital.

She married Howard "Bud" Davidson and the couple moved to Brookfield in 1955. Ms. Davidson worked for more than 15 years as a sales clerk in the drapery department of the Montgomery Ward store in the North Riverside Park Mall.

Locally, she was a member of the St. Barbara Parish Council of Catholic Women, where she served as an officer and was once named the CCW Woman of the Year. She was also a sacristan at St. Barbara Church. In addition, she enjoyed gardening and was an avid sports fan.

Ms. Davidson was preceded in death by her husband, Bud, on Dec. 19, 2004.

She was the mother of Gary (Kathy) Davidson, Kevin (Lori) Davidson, the late Dennis (Margaret) Davidson and Linda (Joseph) Radford; the grandmother of Nicole (Matt) Campos, Dana Davidson and Jamie Radford; and the great-grandmother of Emilia Campos.

A funeral Mass was celebrated Aug. 5 at St. Barbara Church in Brookfield, followed by interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.

Johnson Funeral Home, Brookfield, handled arrangements.
