Sara Vera, 54, of Westchester and formerly of Chicago, died on Sept. 19, 2019.
She was the mother of Martin Leon and Marylu (Edwin Gomez) Leon; the grandmother of Julian Gomez-Leon; daughter of Elias Vera and the late Angelica Leon (nee Pompa); the sister of Javier (Briselda) Vera, Angelica (Martin Lopez) Vera, Martin (Monica) Vera, Guillermina (Jose) Vera, Juana (Alberto) Leon and Elias Vera; and the aunt of many nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass was celebrated Sept. 23 at St. Barbara Church in Brookfield, followed by interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
Hitzeman Funeral Home, Brookfield, handled arrangements.
