Channel 6 to broadcast Riverside Township meetings
Sessions will air live; DVDs will be available at library
By Bob Uphues
What the heck goes on at the meetings of the Riverside Township Board of Trustees? Outside of the trustees themselves, probably not too many people have much of an idea. But that's about to change in the New Year.
The Riverside Cable Commission announced today that beginning on Tuesday, Jan. 8, it will begin broadcasting the township board's meetings live on Channel 6. Meetings of the township board are held the second Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. in Room 4 of the Riverside Township Hall, 27 Rivberside Road.
In addition to the live broadcasts, the township board meetings will be re-broadcast at various times on the Channel 6. The commission will also provide the Riverside Public Library with DVD copies of each meeting, so those without cable TV can view them.
