RBHS grad Doug Corcoran on Letterman show
By Bob Uphues
Doug Corcoran, a 2000 graduate of Riverside-Brookfield High School, appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman earlier this week, playing rhythm guitar for JD McPherson, a roots rocker with ties to Chicago.
McPherson and the band tore through the song "Fire Bug" to wrap up the show, which aired on Dec. 4. Check out the clip from the show.
If you missed Corcoran, who also plays saxophone for the band, you may get a chance to see him when JD McPherson appears on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno on Thursday, Dec. 13. Corcoran didn't return a phone message from the Landmark to see if he'd be playing with the band that night, so we're not entirely sure, but give it a look anyway. He's been touring lately with McPherson, so we're guessing he'll be there.
McPherson will be playing his new holiday-themed song "Twinkle Little Christmas Light" on Leno's show, according to McPherson's Facebook page.
