Cub Scouts from Riverside and Brookfield took home awards for the fastest cars at the Pack 24 annual Pinewood Derby on Jan. 20 at the Riverside Presbyterian Church.
Pack 24’s first-place award for the fastest car went to Elijah Ourth, a Tiger Cub and first-grader at Central School. Alex Buffo (4th grade, Hollywood) took second, while Derek Johnson (1st grade, Central) and David Suriano (1st grade, Central) took third and fourth place respectively.
Awards for Most Scout-like Cars went to (from first to third place) Joey Rogers, Mitchell Malloy and Abraham Ourth. First- and second-place Viewer’s Choice awards went to Luke Keller and Sam Falk, while Derek Johnson and Cooper Lesniak tied for third.
Riverside Presbyterian Church sponsors Pack 24, which includes 60 boys from Riverside schools.
