Consider the current pressure on the average homeowner. The taxpayers are bombarded from all directions. We are the problem-solvers for every body that is spending our money.

Consider what we are facing. Inflation and the housing bubble has increased the value of our homes. Now we must adjust our tax rates to our new inflated values. The new tax reassessment will hit us all in our fall tax bill.

Many schools are trying to increase tax rates. Some libraries are joining the crowd with higher taxes.

The most outrageous tax consequences are the RB High School $58-million rebuilding project. Just for the record, that money must be repaid to the amount of [$90 million] with the interest added. Many of the supporters of those proposals do not understand that all these tax increases will arrive in the next three months. …

Inflation and insatiable demands by taxers will destroy our comfortable existence. Owning a home will be a negative factor as opposed to being an asset.

So go ahead and approve those referendums, and prepare for the debacle to come. I will not support any tax increase.
