We urge voters to cast their vote for the RB District 208 Board of Education for independent candidate Eric Duve. Duve, a lifelong resident of the district was raised in Brookfield, resided for 10 years in North Riverside, and now lives in Riverside.
A 1983 graduate of RB, and with two daughters at RB and a son in seventh grade at Hauser (they represent the third generation of Duve family members to attend RB), he is very familiar with the school and the district as his father, Pete Duve, served on the board in the 1980s.
A strong believer in education, he holds a master’s degree in mechanical and aerospace engineering from IIT and an MBA from DePaul University. His position as senior project engineer at Navistar makes him the type of person who seeks out answers. His MBA gives him the ability to view the financial aspects of the school in a responsible manner.
He has been active in various youth programs within the district, showing his willingness to serve. We believe Eric Duve will be an asset to the District 208 board and to the community as a whole. He believes in successes for all students and a school the community can continue to be proud of.
