Clare M. Clark, 92, Worked for Ingersoll Rand
Clare Marie Clark, 92, a resident of Woodridge and former resident of Riverside, died June 2, 2009.
Ms. Clark was married for 69 years to Fred H. Clark Sr., who survives his wife. She worked for 25 years for the Ingersoll Rand Company.
She is survived by her children, Jacquelyn (Cuyler) Berwanger, Fred H. (Jacqueline) Clark Jr. and Janet Arlene Lee; 10 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and her sister, Violet (David) Kurka. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Josephine (the late Gus) Huber, Cecilia (the late Kenneth) Paul and Eleanor (the late Robert) LaVigne.
A funeral Mass was held June 6 at St. Mary Church in Riverside, followed by interment at St. Mary Cemetery in Evergreen Park.

Edward T. Kolodziej Sr., 87, Former Brookfield resident
Edward T. Kolodziej Sr., 87, a former resident of Brookfield, died June 2, 2009 at his home in Oakbrook.
Born in Chicago on Oct. 31, 1921 to Thomas and Gertrude Kolodziej, he later owned his own printing business. Mr. Kolodziej was preceded in death by his first wife, Emma Kolodziej (nee Piperoff).
He is survived by his second wife, Olga Kolodziej, of Oakbrook; his children, Marie (Michael) Long of Oakbrook and Edward Kolodziej Jr. of Oakbrook; and his granddaughter, Jennifer Lyle.
A funeral Mass, officiated by the Rev. Fred Tomzik, was celebrated on June 5 at St. Louise de Marillac Church in LaGrange Park, followed by interment at Resurrection Cemetery in Justice.

Joseph Valvoda, 86, Warehouse man
Former North Riverside resident Joseph Valvoda, 86, died June 8, 2009 at Tabor Hills Healthcare Facility in Naperville.
Mr. Valvoda was born in Chicago on Feb. 18, 1923 to George and Frances Valvoda and was employed as a warehouse man. He was preceded in death by his parents and by his sister, Evelyn Valvoda.
He is survived by his sister, Mildred (Frank) Marek of North Riverside; his nieces, Joanne Iwinski and Linda Belmont; his nephews, Bill Iwinski and Tim Belmont; and his great nieces, Kimberly Belmont and Kelly Belmont.
Visitation will be Wednesday, June10 from 3 to 8 p.m. and on Thursday, June 11 from 10:30 to 11 a.m. at Hitzeman Funeral Home, 9445 31st St. in Brookfield. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 11 a.m. on June 11, followed by interment at Woodlawn Cemetery in Forest Park.
Halina Wiechowski, 86, Worked for U.S. government
Brookfield resident Halina Wiechowski, 86, died May 31, 2009 at The British Home in Brookfield.
Born Sept. 30, 1922 in Poland, Ms. Wiechowski later immigrated to the United States and lived in Berwyn. She was employed by the U.S. government’s Department of Immigration and Naturalization.
A funeral Mass was celebrated June 2 at St. Odilo Church in Berwyn, followed by interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
