Vlasta J. Alfirevic (nee Stoklasa), 92, of North Riverside, died July 16 at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood.
A member of Mater Christi Church, her family will miss her culinary arts, sweet smile and infectious laughter. Born March 9, 1918 and a native of Berwyn, Ms. Alfirevic was married for 68 years to John Alfirevic, who survives his wife.
She is also survived by her daughter, Michelle (Steve) Rychly; her grandchildren, Sean Rychly, Johnathan Rychly and Nadene (Kevin) Holmes; and her great grandchildren, Kaylin Holmes and Sarah Holmes.
Visitation is Thursday, July 22 from 3 to 8 p.m. at Kuratko-Nosek Funeral Home, 2447 Desplaines Ave. in North Riverside. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, July 23 at 9:30 a.m. at Mater Christi Church, 2431 10th Ave. in North Riverside, followed by entombment at Woodlawn Cemetery in Forest Park.
